THE CHALLENGE
Galpin Motors is one of the premier auto dealerships in the US and they were looking for a partner that could solve their comfort issues for their Galpin Jaguar Dealership. Simultaneously, they sought a company that would help them meet their long-term energy e ciency goals. ey selected the ECOAIR HVAC Controls Solution to achieve their goals. e comfort issues were primarily driven by two factors.

First, their current thermostats were unable to solve the temperature imbalances created by varying heat loads in their showroom.

Second, their existing system required too much human intervention. Galpin staff were using space heaters under their desks in the summer as the HVAC was too cold. They were looking for a simpler and systematic approach that could respond to the complex needs of their buildings.

THE ECOAIR SOLUTION
We installed the ECOAIR controls package. The roof top packaged units were reprogrammed with ECOAIR’s exclusive control algorithm to manage the air supply based on oustside and inside air tempratures, 
mixing air, humidity, and static pressure using sensors and eliminating the wall thermostats. From a physical point of view, ECOAIR uses the given movement of the air molecules and reduces the air ow rates. is significantly reduces fan noise, and eliminates uncomfortable and disturbing air flow, allowing people in the building feel comfortable, while reducing costs at the same time.

ECOAIR visualizes all operating conditions and costs. The building operator always has an overview of all system costs since the system calculates the costs based on the current energy-source-costs in real-time.

ECOAIR continuously measures all operating parameters of the energy supply in the ventilation ducts as well as in the rooms and compares it with the target area values saved in the system. As a result, each air flap is ideally set and the parameters temperature, humidity, and air quality are balanced so that the most cost effective operating point within the system’s target area is achieved with the least amount of energy – while ensuring the ideal room temperature.

THE ECOAIR SOLUTION

THE RESULT
Within 24 hours, employees reported a noticeable di erence in comfort. e building was being conditioned without human intervention thanks to the intuitive power of the ECOAIR proprietary algorithms. In addition to comfort, energy savings equal to 46% were measured in and independent study conducted by The Engineering Department of California State University Northridge.
