Frequently Asked Questions

find the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

Does our system work with both water-based and refrigerant-based units?
Yes the system works with both.

How long does each retrofit take on average for a 7.5 Ton unit, as our lowest required tonnage, to complete?
2 days max, most units can be up and running within 8 hours or so.

Yes the customer would be without AC during the retrofit.
We do not provide any backup system.  We would work around the Customer’s schedule to prevent any comfort issues. IE: working over the weekend, at night, etc.

What are some of the roadblocks normally associated with a retrofit?
Time schedule would be the only roadblock.

Approximately how old does the equipment have to be to utilize our technologies? Is there a year/make/model we can’t work on because it’s too old or new? In other words, at what point would it be moot for us to pursue a client who has a newer model? (5 years, 20 years?)
This is a case by case issue.  Some newer units are already efficient and it would be too long a payback.  As far as how old depends on the how the unit is functioning.  We can retrofit the unit with new components if the casing is in fairly good condition.

When we talk about reduced maintenance, exactly what are we talking about? Less filter changes? Less breakdowns? What are we reducing maintenance of after an upgrade to our system?
Less filter changes is the big one because we are reducing the amount of airflow.

What happens when we release new products?
Any new product that applies to the client’s system we will replace in most cases at cost.
